The Rainbow Mountains

From our camp at the Great Wall in Jiayuguan, we drove to Zhangye Danxia to see the Rainbow Mountains.  When we arrived, it was time for lunch.  We attracted another crowd, especially when we put up a tarp for shade.

Huh?  Cliff wrestling?

The afternoon was not the best time to visit - it was terribly hot.  Everyone is crowding into the little bit of shade the tiny shack provides.  I eventually joined them for awhile.

We had our second camping night in a nice valley.

We could see the Great Wall as we were driving to Yongling and the Bingling Si caves, which are in the next post.
